What happens when “God’s Burden” Is actually human oppression?
Please before you break out of ignorance, note that it is not every burden placed on you that has God’s signature on it.
You will hear people say, “God will never give you a burden bigger than you can bear.” I respectfully disagree with the premise when it turns divine assignment into perpetual suffering.
Yes! God gives purpose, assignments and visions that may stretch us, grow us and demand courage. But purpose is not the same as oppression, and divine assignment is not a licence for human beings to manufacture suffering for others.
Throughout history, cunning and unreliable people have used religious language, selective Scripture and people’s ignorance to legitimise burdens they themselves or their children would never willingly carry.
Some have been told to endure exploitation, manipulation, abusive systems, destructive traditions or needless deprivation because “it is God’s burden.” Many have suffered silently: oppressed, rejected, distracted, distressed and depressed, sometimes under the watch of those who designed and benefited from the very systems crushing them.
At such, we must learn to distinguish faith from manipulation, sacrifice from exploitation, obedience from control, and divine purpose from human ambition disguised as spirituality.
However, the good news is that Our Christ does not call the wounded to worship their oppression, instead, we see In {Matthew 11:28–30}, how He invites the weary and burdened to come to Him, receive rest and learn His way. This is where you should be when your mind starts running into confusion as a result of oppressive over labour engineered simply to tear you down in shreds.
That invitation should make us pause: if a burden consistently destroys human dignity, breeds fear, sustains injustice and serves the interests of those imposing it, we must have the courage to question whether it truly represents God.
Please do not allow religious vocabulary to silence your discernment. Seek God. Study Scripture. Ask questions. Test narratives. Reject manipulation. Build systems where leadership produces dignity, responsibility, justice and human flourishing.
Yes! your assignment may stretch you, but God’s purpose should ultimately transform you, not turn you into someone else’s permanent casualty.
Now tell me, what religious or cultural “burden” have we normalised that urgently needs to be examined, challenged and transformed in our homes, workplaces, places or worship, etc?

Solving problems as they directly impact & erode human dignity is my primary assignment and I have practically had first hand and well documented experiences of what ordinary humans go through every day that the larger society ignores.
This assignment is God's heartbeat, I survived because He sent me specifically to find solutions to it and that's what we are driving: In all, I count it all joy as I do not hold anything again anybody but pure love, because even when the "devi"l thought he was fighting to stop me, it was the exact opposition I needed to build the required muscle for the assignment. In other words, it all worked for my good according to {Romans 8:28}.
Every human alive deserves to be treated with dignity. A lot could not live to tell the story, may they find rest. Now we must join hands to denounce oppression, man's inhumanity to man, because it's ruining not just our own lives but the entire planet and God wants it decisively dealt with.]
